As an anime-only I wouldn't be surprised if the LN was better. The anime is pretty good and enjoyable by its own merits, but I can't shake the feeling it's kind of jumping all over the place events-wise. The episode about Monica picking a club sticks out to me because it was pretty important to her character arc as she made the decision to choose something she was interested in herself, but the anime has shown little to no of consequences of that choice. They've never shown her actually attending her clubs or brought them up again outside of the off-hand line by Casey about teaching Monica horse-riding this episode. Stuff is definitely happening, and it's fine to take an episodic approach to the writing, but the continuity of the overall plot feels kind of weak if they're gonna off-screen everything outside of the important stuff.

To LNfags: is the manga also skipping much of the LN?

Nah fuck it, the Anime has skipped so much of the LN i am seething. All the Neil, Bridget, and Felix scenes that delve deeper into their characters. Some of the physical and sexual harassment has been skipped, too. Even some Monica x Cyril scenes have been skipped despite the studio's clear bias towards the pairing. Is a good show, but for a fan, it still leaves much to be desired.
