Season 2 covered volumes 9 through 17 of the tankobon, if I remember correctly. Season 3 would have to cover 18 through 35 to see Garo defeated.

There is A LOT of fat that can be trimmed from the MA arc. Stuff that's in the manga but not even remotely in the webcomic for example. It's obnoxiously long, just chop out all the unnecessary bits. We don't need to see complete fights for every single hero and every single monster.

It will save animation budget too which will be precious considering all the insane shit that happens.

It really is a shame how far this series has fallen. The webcomic is still good sure, but it updates at a glacial pace and the manga is a total joke.
Remember 2015 when the first season came out and it was so clearly a passion project with excellent animation from big names? The series was so big then, what a way it's gone.

People are blaming Murata, but to me this is ONE’s fault.
Because of his slow writing pace, the Murata version was forced into all sorts of detours that felt like anime filler episodes, and during that time the series gradually lost its power and momentum.
If only ONE had kept up a schedule of at least one chapter a month, or even once every two months, this never would have happened.
