Sandro loves his Asura characters, so much so that it can get in the way of proper fights and manageable narratives. It's why Gaolang's fight with Carlos and Lihito's fight with Falcon are so shit, Sandro needs us to take Purgatory seriously but he can't let his Asura characters lose in a meaningful way so Gaolang gets a ringout after getting lost in the sauce of rearranging Carlos's face or Lihito getting his mojo back but still losing anyway cuz poison. What also doesn't help Purgatory is that half their team are just infiltrators anyway and a guest taking a spot while Kengan had one guy sorta related to the Worms but he never does anything so who cares lmao
This behavior even extends to Omega characters like Shen and by extension Yan, two leaders of a international terrorist organization but are written to be funny wholesome chungus guys that the main characters kind of get a long with because it's funny. Narrative-wise this makes no sense given what we know of the main characters so to remedy this Sandro creates Luohan and drops all of Shen's baggage onto him, to which the main characters respond in kindness by calling Luohan a bastard only after a first and only interaction so far. This doesn't do anything to fix the problem and almost Ohma look like an idiot villain who's only out for his own personal interests
Then you have characters like Akoya and Setsuna who should be dead but aren't, Tiger Niko who exists to do nothing because Sandro gave his entire goal to Shen instead, Mukaku who's entire character is a good argument against subversion and Raian who's personality is no different from the 100 other knife-wielding jobbers but he gets a free pass anyway to Yumi who's the same but gets humiliated in every appearance he's made but gets to live

The author loves sucking Rain and Ohma too much.

reviving Ohma obviously - on a reread you realize none of the plot points before Purgatory tournament have any relevance, Sandro just went full fightfag stream of consciousness afterward

Well for one Omega is filled with plot points that go absolutely nowhere or just outright don't matter 30 chapters later. A recent example is Agito winning the realest tournament for a chance to fight Shen. Well, now Shen is going to fight in the battle royale with no dedicated fight against Agito so it begs the question why did the realest tournament even happen? The whole thing is just a mess of haphazard writing like this. Set-up with no pay off with no decipherable reason for not being followed through on.

Everything... Story, art, characters....

There's definitely a "no direction" issue.
Kengan Asura had a very obvious goalpoint in mind. It's easier to write a story when you know where its going.
Omega doesn't really have that? What the fuck even is the "plot" of omega at this point. I legit don't really feel like that's a clear goal for the story right now. Even if the current arc finishes...ok but remember at the start of the series where the kengan association was losing its cohesion? So is that...still a thing thats up in the air? Is the meguro clone gonna pull some shit at some point? Does the series just end after the whole connector thing is just wrapped up? What's the end game here, its just vague but not in a "oh boy I love surprises" kind of way.

So what, did the Worm just have a cloned heart on standby in case Ohma jobbed that hard?
