because adapting the manga would cause a lot of conflict to the brand specially with how advance the TCG has become, the game is too far from vanilla beatdown decks or effects that only did ONE thing

DSOD quality is too ambitious to adapt an anime with 200+ episodes also the series used to not have a main focus on the card but on penalty game because the entire point was to turn everything into a game to mess up with delinquents until the card game became a fan favorite

let's assume they adapt the manga, would the cards be all white or will they be like the real product (considering some fusion monsters were summoned like monsters as they weren't originally planned as fusion)? Would the duel disk have the 5 zone limit for monster and S/T? I wouldn't mind if they don't shy from the edgyness of the manga though

the Dogmatika anime shorts they're doing for youtube have been pretty nice. much better than the Sky Striker ones

No shit DSoD animation is expensive and time consuming so it almost never appears outside of movies

it wasn't that bad to be honest, it was nice to see them use new cards you won't see again in following duels

konami should release more games that are vaguely based on the official ruling, those are always fun

Orichalcos didn't do it for me except the duel where Jounouchi and some guy are finding excuses to punch each other. I did get a kick out of the virtual world arcs though.
The real problem aren't the full filler arcs though, but that they mucked up the Memories arc. I'd rather see some sort of remake for that, like maybe a movie trilogy, rather than a full redo of the entire series.

the neat parts were varon making saint seiya reference and maybe atem losing due to desperation and let's not forget MONSTAH CAADO! Orichalcos saga despite not being focused on egyptian thing, it had a lot of cool things
