People that cry about the jrpg party are retarded, as if the Hawk weren't Fire Emblem-tier in their generic fantasy squad: at least Shrierke and Farense are great characters.
The real problem with new Berserk is that enemies went from Go Nagai demons with intelligence, backstories, personal reasons and complexity to actual brainless fodder that Guts mows down.

Fire Punch is the pinnacle. I almost want to downplay it because it was made by a 20 something millennial on his first serialization, but it would be disingenuous to deny the truth. I don't know how he did it.

May I ask what're your favourite seinens anons? I am getting back into manga after over a decade and am a bit lost. I ordered a couple of things the other day, I genuinely thought they were seinen but apparently they were in shonen jump or something so I feel a bit dumb. I've been trying to find some good supernatural horror stuff and nothing is really jumping out. I saw this one Yuuan no Kanata that looks cool, but it seems to be only in Japanese.

I don't read horror much at all, I don't find it particularly interesting and jap horror much like jap comedy is kind of dogshit. My favourite seinen still publishing are Real, Heavenly Delusion, Fool Night, Drifting Dragons, Touge Oni which are all slowly releasing either month by month or as volume dumps every half a year or so. Historie, albeit in hiatus hell, is amazing. Land of The Lustrous, Dorohedoro and Dungeon Meshi are like my holy trinity of finished seinen with decent endings.

I’m not sure if it’s my favorite, but every 2 or 3 years I always reread Bakuman (I completely missed the daily last year, lol).
It was practically the first anime I watched alongside dragon ball when I was 10 without not even knowing what manga or anime was. Everyone I knew was into death note but I was scared of Ryuk's design, so I tried reading the other story by the same author.
