Ryōichi Kuraya (Tsugumomo) is directing the season at Zero-G, and also replacing Tōko Machida on supervising and writing the series scripts. Yoshiko Saitо̄ (Assassins Pride) is returning as the chief animation director and character designer. Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail) and Johannes Nilsson (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-) is back to compose the music, with Pony Canyon producing.

So in case anyone was confused by season 1, the animators basically just cut out a third of the content because it was lewd. There was a whole bunch of romantic buildup between the MC and the vampire chick as well as the angel girl later on in the Light Novels, but because the character development stuff took place during basically sex scenes, instead of reframing that stuff to be more tame on screen, they just eliminated it entirely. So if you got to the end of season 1 and were confused why the MC suddenly had a baby out of nowhere with the vampire girl, it's because all the leadup to that was just cut.

They will probably do the same thing again in season 2 with other sorts of character developments like that. So if you see sudden drastic changes in the relationships between characters happen between episodes without the characters seeming to even notice, like a girl is suddenly acting like they're married when they just met the previous episode, or characters appearing out of nowhere with no introduction, it's because the studio did it again. All the material would have just been cut out and skipped instead of reframed/rewritten to covey the same story beats but without the lewdness.

It was a bad production decision, they shouldn't have done it, and it made the story worse. But it's what they did and you kinda just have to roll with it and go into season 2 expecting they'll probably do it again. If confusing shit happens or you're watching and it seems like there's huge gaps in the story that get totally glossed over, it's because there are and they probably had nudity or sex in the in the novel so they just got cut.

Reminder that a huge point of the series is MC having sex and children(though it wasn't even supposed to be lewd), because you know, HE IS A FARMER PLANTING HIS SEED, yet they still removed absolutely all mentions and implications of sex and even all mentions and implications of MC having several wives, which resulted in anime Lulucy basically becoming the Virgin Mary Vampire.
Ridiculous.

Also by the time MC got his first kid in the anime, he was already supposed to have 2.
So who knows how the hell are they going to handle S2, I assumre more virgin pregnancies or simply cutting the rest of his children.

My impression from the translated manga is that it's basically everybody you see from season 1 of the anime minus the dark elves (they're too dorky and shy to sign up) and Flora, and he's refused to add more to his harem. Things might be different in the LN/WN.

It's just comfy slice of life. No real "plot" other than adding characters and time. Also low budget animation. But otherwise, it's cute and nice to have playing in the background. It is probably not going to be everybody's thing but if you like SOL then it's worth it.

Initially I was going to dismiss it because the OP made it look like it was going to be idolshit but it grew on me so it's one of my low-key favourites despite the one or two major issues that everybody in the thread already bitched about.
