I don't really see it as cuckshit but it is odd that they seem to have not talked much outside of general class 1-A functions despite the chapters leading up to the final few implying that they had become closer and closer through the rest of their time at UA.

When you really see this whole series, start to end. You can see this is really anime/manga is for girls. The ending alone just shows it. Fucking lord

Heroism is pretty busy work at the end of the day and people don't realize how fast people drift apart. Consider that in one single year the kids stopped the Yakuza, Quirk Satan, multiple small times villains, rescues, and natural disaster and humanitarian efforts for much of Japan. And they weren't even full fledged heroes.
There is a need for communication between both parties, and Deku had a college curriculum (which the rest of 1-A also probably enrolled in, since this is Nippon) that took of much of his time. Uraraka also probably had more internships or immediate career opportunities to handle, plus doing what she could to keep her family out of dangerous construction work. Never mind everyone dealing with the PTSD of OFA (and Toga rolling around in her brain talking about love). It can get tough.

Back in university there was this cute 7/10 girl who was kind of into me, but I didnโ€™t care since I thought I deserved better. Eight years later, I recently found out sheโ€™s running her own business and is now married. I never really cared about her and honestly forgot about her all these years, but for some reason hearing that stung a little. I wouldnโ€™t call it jealousy, but it definitely wasnโ€™t pleasant. I guess this is how women feel when they keep a few โ€˜second choicesโ€™ around.

They should have just had him start a relationship with that American chick, for some Superman and Lois vibes, even better since she was apperantly the one who made him the suit so it would have had more of a connection to the epilogue.

>a world where heroes....have time to spare
.....except if you're ochako and deku. Hero work and college are simply too important to ever take a fucking day off despite being the heroes who stopped the most dangerous villain of all time. Japan is VERY strict about personal leave after all.

Severe PTSD from having someone she cared about commit suicide to save her, and a near-death experience. She was haunted by Toga's ghost for years and so she threw herself into hero work at the cost of just about everything else to try and make amends, to create a world where more weirdos like Toga don't have to descend to villainy to be understood.

It's basically the same thing Midoriya did, trying to create a world where more kids wouldn't turn into Shigaraki Tomuras. After they met again Toga started haunting Ochako once more, trying to tell her what she had been trying to tell her for years: "Live for yourself. Do the things you want to do. That's what'll make me happy." Which was her way of saying "Go ask Midoriya out, you big chicken!"

Ghosting a civilian to focus on helping and saving others is heroic.
It's not like Deku is such a lonely loser that he can't take care of himself, right?
