That does explain why it even garnered any attention to begin with. There's no story, the characters are flat and exist just to tell Ruri that she's the greatest thing ever, the dragon stuff feels like it's being made up as the creator goes, so the headcanons that people come up with tend to be more interesting than the actual canon. I mean, you look at some of the ideas people here have come up with in the past like, "Oh, Ruri's going to get a tail and wings", "Oh, is the manga finally going to become a battle shonen?", "Is Ruri going to get with another girl?", etc, etc. and it's pretty obvious not none of these are going to happen by this point. It really is too bad. A story that's supposed to be about dragons and half-dragons should practically be writing itself, and yet the creator somehow managed to make the most badass creatures ever dull and lame. That is an achievement in and of itself.
