Why doesn't anyone else consider the fact that Zabuza and Haku were a reference to shudo pledges (samurais and young apprentices, look it up), and that Haku was more than likely making himself look like a girl to look more attractive to Zabuza?
Looking back at it, this really isn't subtle at all when you see stuff like Haku calling Zabuza's body beautiful, or Haku blushing after Zabuza says he likes him.
Haku checks off a lot of boxes for me, being a kind feminine/trap boy with cool ice powers but for some reason I've never really cared about him. Kinda wish Kishi made him a bear like originally planned.
