>be an anime studio
>choose a good manga
>don't add any filler in it because you don't have better ideas than the author
>respect the ratio 1 episode = 3 chapters
>forget momentarily about money (no milking, fillers arcs/episode)
>produce a good show acclaimed by everyone
>your studio gain in value
Why is this so fucking hard to do in this industry?

But Ufotable did add filler and it got negative reaction from the fans because it fucking suck and add nothing to the story.

They sometimes adapt 1.5 or 2 chapters and strech the runtime

Because it takes time to produce a series and it’s rare you have a hit with something new like KnY that also has significant source material to work with. Hindsight is 20/20, you don’t know the extent a series is going to be both good and profitable until it airs and studios aren’t going to deprioritize every project they’re working on just because a 12-24 episode series blew up. Most of the time studios have another series greenlit in partial production, and they already have a timeslot or airing schedule.

No, the publisher (or rather production committee) chooses the studio.

Have you all never read Anime Talk? KnY's manga was discovered by Aniplex CEO Atsuhiro Iwakami. He believed the manga had great potential, purchased the anime adaptation rights from Shueisha, and then handed the manga over to Ufotable for adaptation.

Ufotable simply passively accepted Aniplex's commission. Ufotable was just lucky; Aniplex deserves the greatest credit.

Original scenes oftentimes enhance the manga and make the show more interesting to people who have already read it.

Atsuhiro Iwakami stated in an interview that he was the first person to recognize KnY's potential and that he was the one who purchased the anime adaptation rights from Shueisha. Ufotable was solely responsible for the anime adaptation and had no involvement in any other behind-the-scenes work on KnY.
