Well one problem is that Denji cannot carry a story by himself. Aki, Power, and Makima/Kishibe were the real drivers of Part 1. Denji is a reactive force.

Asa is the worst shonen MC that I've ever seen in my entire life.
She has had way more panel time than Makima, Aki and Power but that basically amounted to nothing outside of a few good moments with Denji, most of them happening more than 80 chapters ago.

If that's the end then the story's shit. I think not. Asa will kill Denji this arc, and if she doesn't Fumiko will. She lives her life and fights the apocalypse, or causes it, whichever for 3 more arcs as foreshadowed by the movie theatre scene, then Denji comes back from the dead, plays superhero, and dies to her again.

He only knows one way to develop the MC: by making him suffer.
He only knows one way to develop female characters: by making them die for the MC.
He only knows one way to draw faces and one type of paneling.
