it lines up a bit better with some retcons that were introduced in the sequel novels and human technology got a bump. Overall it's a pretty faithful adaption with arguably better pacing, and the artist borrows a good bit from space odyssey for the imagery which really serves the manga well

Sarai has the first 8 volumes official translated back in the day but they were never scanned online. Hoping the rest gets translated or that someone puts the official scans online or translates them again from the raws which are easy to get.

Horobi by Yoshihisa Tagami is in a similar situation. It had an official Viz comics translation, but only the first volume was scanned. It doesn't help that it has very weird chapter & sub-chapter names.
