The only real options are WIT or Bones, and they’re on the same tier as MAPPA, not above it.
Honestly, there’s no studio better than MAPPA.

Honestly in hindsight the anime doesn't seem like it messed things up too badly aside from the visual direction which is admittedly a lot more generic and drab then the manga. It's not like the original has some deep masterpiece plot in the first place.

Now for CSM? I think Mappa was probably the best choice. The animation was good I don't care what niggers say and piss and whine about the cgi they did a great job especially bringing certain fights and scenes to life. The voice cast choice was so perfect that it matched 1:1 to the voices I had been reading for years. The CGI was just a miss with modern audiences because they don't understand animation and just repeat opinions they hear online. Girls Band Cry, and Land of the Lustrous got the same criticisms, although they used CGI because what they were going for was unrealistically hard to make in 2d.

I listen to alot of gentle dom shit and my preference is higher pitched softer voices so she actually lined up with what I had imagined in my head, but I can definitely see people thinking/wanting it deeper.

I hate Mappa lighting. I don't know why they do it but the way they light their scenes always looks so unnatural. It was the same for SnK S4, such a stark contrast to previous seasons. I just can't stop seeing it whenever I recall any scenes from this adaptation

Fantastic scene and extremely well directed - there are a lot of moments in S1 that excel at conveying a tension and scale that the manga really doesn't reach.

The hate for CSM S1 is just a bunch of parrots repeating what they heard from someone else. Damn shame that people let the narrative get lost to people that can barely form a coherent criticism beyond "they used CGI". They did, and by and large (they also used it to pretty extensive, and excellent effect during the Katana Man fight) it worked well.

It was mostly poor direction decisions. It followed the source material pretty well but it was very pretentious about doing the same scenes from different angles like it was a live action movie and blew their budget on that instead of the fighting scenes

Okay retard. A lot of the CG looked like shit and i'm not against CG if it actually looks good/consistent, but that's very rare. Especially in the scene you posted there is no need for CG.
They can draw tons of detailed hands and then suddenly can't be bothered to do a basic character turn by hand.
