Disagree. Struggle is fine, but you want to INDULGE the idea that the MC can actually succeed outside of author fiat and give them some actual big meaningful wins to build them up in both confidence and prestige as well as show them be able to get and overcome obstacles on their volition and strength. I don't think we've seen that from Inori since the Chubu Block.

Yeah that's the same issue I'm having. At this point it's more rooting from pity than anything else. The win will lack any real depth though because it's not overcoming any real competition(ie, Iruka) for the medal. That it's already being telegraphed by saying she'll still get points even coming in at last place was a big tell.
