Yamabuki kinda annoyingly gives an explanation that basically amount to of course he would be able to tell, even though I sincerely doubt he actually knew it was Shinobu. The Hmm... there with the smirk with Shinobu leaves room for a lot of things. Maybe she thinks Yamabuki is really aware she is Apollo, but he is too tsundere to confront her despite claiming he would find her. So she keeps up the tease cause it's amusing.

So I wouldn't say deconfirmation. Almost certain that a lot of early stuff will age piss poorly once Apollo's identity will be revealed.
