Everyone on /a/ liked the show as it was airing. The threads were a lot of fun. The problem is that the production schedule was beyond fucked, and some episodes aired way after they were supposed to, including the final couple, and because of this, the hype died down. But, again, the show was well received, and as far as I know, it and the manga are pretty much universally loved.

I loved this series. Everytime I bump into it again on 4chan or anywhere else it makes me a bit sad knowing it will never get a sequel. Many such cases.

Gotta say the silver lining about it never getting a second season is the fact that I hate when authors of romantic comedies such as this one don't have the balls to pick a girl in the end.
