Art of Fighting anime
Was this the best anime adaptation of a fighting game in the 90s?

So what prompted this thread, Art of Fighting on the brain, or looking through fucked up TV specials? SFII was the year after, and that still holds up big time. The only time people bring up this thing is when they look through a list of miscellaneous adaptations of fighting games. Nobody's favorite OVA or fighting game is AOF.

Is this the lowest bar you could possibly find? Fighting game adaptions are usually awful because they juggle way too many characters and lack a coherent plot.

Fighting Game adaptations are usually awesome because they have cool animated fights and most were made when the rosters were either small or the characters still barely defined so all they needed was a moment or two

Not when SF2 exists.

I like how both Ryo and Robert look nothing how they should.
Overall the AOF anime was a mess compared to the genuinely great Fatal Fury OVAs.
