Nasu sure has been working on the Illya route for a while. I know he wants to make sure it's as polished as possible but he's going to release it soon, right? Right?

The Fate route? Pretty good introduction to the Grail war system for future entries
The UBW route? Shirou vs Emiya throwing fists is unfiltered kino.
Heaven's feel? My personal favorite, Medusa and Shirou at their limits were absolute golden. I mean shit, Sparks Liner High is probably one of the most known VN non-true endings and for good reasons where it is quite a shame that they never made an OVA based on it.

For the anime adaption? Fate was in a weird spot because of the circumstances whether only one route would be adapted or all three so them making those weird moments where they dipped into both routes without committing were off-putting, but the filler where they rescued Sakura was a decent addition to make up for the filler mostly being compromised lurking at the residence. The true goldmine is the soundtrack, which captured the magical feeling that was the magus world in Fate extremely well.
The UBW anime is alright and tightly paced. Not a fan of the Shirou vs Emiya interpretation but the rest was ok.
The Heaven's feel trilogy was ok, the director fucking up some major parts from the VN, mainly the Shirou vs Emiya showdown. The other battle instances were solid kino.

Wdym by the Shirou vs Emiya interpretation? Was that not the thrust of UBW?

I like Saber more than Rin, but I don't have a beef with Rinfags. On the other hand, I fucking hate Sakura and her fans. They are all unbearable and annoying.

When it comes to routes, it's hard to say, as Sakura is easily the worst part of HF, and it would probably be my number one if not for her. Her being raped is so boring, predictable and is nothing but an overused plot device.

Best scene? Last Episode and Saber's farewell.

Best fight? Saber vs Shirou

Best ost? Sorrow, ever-present feeling.

Hottest character? Caster imo.

Funniest character? Taiga

Best character? Shirou

Worst character? Sakura

Best villain? Kirei

Best twist? Archer is Shirou

Most hyped moment? Saber using Excalibur on the roof.

Now let's talk about anime:

Best anime? Probably UBW, but all of them suck.

Worst anime? HF is imo much worse than 2006.

Best anime fight? Rider vs True Assassin in HF1 and Shirou vs Gil

Best moment? Shirou traces Avalon at the end of 2006.

Worst scene? Probably Aimer’s pop song during archer and shirou fight; Sakura in 2006.

Biggest disappointment? Shirou vs Kirei, Shirou doing 360 against Berserker and pretty much everything in HF.

Worst thing about anime? Shirou is an annoying clown in UBW. Oh and Kajiura’s soundtrack is DOGSHIT in HF. It sounds more like Madoka. I remember how much I cringed hearing that fucking flute when Rin used the sword or all these obnoxious chores during the first phase of Medusa vs Saber.

Most of the fight was fairly on point fbut by the time it happened, EMIYA was already running low on Mana to stay. But for some reason he was able to use Unlimited Blades Works in the anime adaptation.

The original VN is good due to its novel concept and great atmosphere. Zero is also good because Urobutcher actually tried for once. Everything else is either harmless schlock, retarded garbage or hot loli action.

It's far from perfect, but there's so much to gawk at and admire throughout the 3 routes that it might as well be the closest thing to "the greatest VN ever". It's got a shonenslop soul with Tsuk's denpa DNA and with bits of nukige sprinkled in. The anime adaptations all have their own merits in the way they uplift or completely butcher elements of the VN.
Hollow Ataraxia is better in terms of plot and production quality and Zero is better at making a convincing and engaging battle royale setting, but neither of them are able to eclipse SN simply due to its aforementioned quantity advantage
