Restart is our best shot at getting the rest of the series adapted.
The real question will be how they'll manage to fit the entirety of Restart into one cour of anime.

All I remember about this was that the threads after S1 were really really active with someone translating the LN. Then after a while people discovered that the translation was basically just fanfic and that's when the threads full out died.
I am still somewhat mad at the faggot who kept lying to everyone about the translations.
This was 9-8 years ago. Fuck.
Can't really say I'm excited for this S2 after so long.

Here's hoping that it makes enough money to fund an anime of Limited or just skip everything and go to Breakdown

Sequel with a new cast. Old characters will make a cameo appearances.
>>281994295
It's been three years since the announcement, so I can only hope you're right.
A single cour seems like it'd certainly be rushed, while a two cour season seems like it could drag out a bit during the middle half.

The CEO of Carmina Slots, Keiichi Sato, is pretty much funding the entire thing from what I hear.
He's a huge fan of the series, going as far as funding the second season is nothing short of miracle for this franchise.
If things go well with Restart, we've got 15 more volumes of content to go.

Swim2 ragebait was the most engagement the first season got outside of Boi Pucelle posters.
I wonder what character animeonlys will latch onto considering Restart has a significantly more fleshed out cast than Unmarked.

Speaking of the LN, is the author done with the series? 18 ended on kind of a sequel bait but I'm not seeing any news about a new volume.

Limited -> Breakdown would be great. You get most of the important context for anime onlys and a returning cast from one season to the next. I'd be very surprised if we get anything after this though.

While I'm not trying to defend the translations, it's not like he completely made-up everything. I actually kinda buy his excuse that he was loosely translating from memory. But he was being disingenuous about the extent he was altering things.
His version of the story reads like some loose bullet points, with some fanfic-tier fluff in between. The issue was that he would often just make up dialogue that misrepresented the characters, or extend fight scenes by making them edgier than they actually were.
Everything basically plays out the same as the original in terms of the main plot points. It's just that the fan translations were a misrepresentative retelling of events, through lens of someone with blatant favoritism towards certain characters.
In the end, the Western fanbase felt rightfully betrayed, and nobody wanted to wait years for Yen Press to get caught up to where the LNs currently were.
Luckily that's all behind us now. As the official translations are finally caught up just in time for the second season.

I still haven't gotten through Red (trying to read it raw), but I can't imagine they'd wrap up all loose ends in a single volume.
I imagine he's overseeing the anime production team, so the next main volume might be delayed for the time being.
The author seems genuinely passionate about the series, so I can't see it ending anytime soon.
