The rarest artfag, the /mu/fag
Sounds pretty good on a phone speaker, though I don't know shit about mixing and how loud it should be

No mixing here. This is raw audio output from Musescore 4, notation software.

I really should invest into adding a mixing process into my work.
The thing I'm always afraid of, is that once I have the greater freedom that comes with a DAW, the more tempted I'll be to incorporate sounds that aren't readily replicable by a real orchestra.
That's something I pride myself on: everything I write has sheet music that can be given to a real orchestra at a moment's notice.

To give an example of bad writing: I went to see that Attack on Titan traveling world tour concert back in May, in Chicago. The orchestra they put together for it was tiny. Most of the sound was pumped through giant speakers, with the live instruments *supplementing it*, since most of SnK's OST is made up of sounds so digitally distorted that they can't be replicated live. What I heard was 2/3 pre-recorded and 1/3 live, a fuckin tragedy.

Thats a shame to hear, I imagine most soundtracks are made just to be played over TV speakers and they only made an orchestra version real quick afterwards unfortunately.
I haven't been to a lot of orchestras, but I'd love to see some stuff live

I like the bells, they remind me of a lot of early season tracks
