I remember seeing it at 14 because the art looked cool, didn’t even know it was anime. Back then it just made me uncomfortable, now as an adult it just pisses me off. It’s painfully unfunny, characters are insufferable, humor is worse than Hazbin Hotel. At least Hazbin tries to make you like the cast--this show just expects you to.
Couldn’t even make it past episode 3. I’d rather watch the worst Family Guy episode than sit through this shit. Artstyle’s nice, writing’s a bit more coherent than Hazbin, but the “jokes” and dialogue ruin it.

Panty and Stocking characters are just too one dimensional to like.

Most of the jokes are drawn not spoken in S1, which is why it's still fun.

Cheap's probably going too far but I've always held up the original PSG as a good middleground example of mixed 2d/3d animation.
The second season's 2d is more tablet drawn itself and I think it throws off the balance.

I guess it's to be expected when even Trigger's theatrical stuff like Promare doesn't do it as well as PSG did.

I actually thought it was Rick & Morty tier cringe (before Rick & Morty game out, using for comparison so nu /a/ can understand) and ignored it in 2011. I only watched the first season this year, because the seasonal slop in every season this year was trash, so I've been scraping the bottom of the barrel of my backlog.

Compared to all other things nu /a/ likes this year, PSG s1 was way better (aka an average anime vs dogshit). But season 2?Fits right in. Soulless commercial slop.

I've noticed that music has been really bad this season. I'm not really talking about the OST but the vocals.

when it first aired it was a novelty and broke the mold among the other anime series released. It was a breath of fresh air but nowadays everyone has been copying them and the humor is so common that it no longer stands out and what's worse the new (late)teenagers are frightened by it instead of being amused like we did thanks to this weird fixation in AoC in fictional characters which strangely they cannot separate fiction from reality so sadly this anime is neither for old fans because it doesn't seem amusing and neither for new fans because they are puritans who cannot find humor in anything that's edgy or else some madeup trauma triggers
