There's more appreciation of training bras than I expected, wow. I guess if I ever make a thread like this one again I should just ask ''what type of bra is your favorite?'' and not focus on ''normal'' bras where the only distinction is where the hook is.

Sports bras are similar in shape but firmer and tighter, they're meant to stop boobs from jiggling too much when you're exercising

Well, it's worth mentioning that between the two, they *can* look different, training bras can have a bow or an appearance more like a normal bra so to speak, while sports bras tend to go well with activewear and aren't made of fabric I think. Pointing out the obvious, left is a training bra, right is a sports bra.

while there are arguments for wearing panties instead of no panties I can't see any advantage for an anime girl to wear a bra. it's just unwanted realism like no sound in space.

Sports bras are made of material thick enough to be used as a top while training bras are much thinner so at most you could wear them as lounge wear, especially if you're still a little girl who don't get what's the big deal about people seeing her chest

I don't agree with unwated realism, if anime and manga didn't had that ''unwated realism'' then girls would just be topless under their clothes and to avoid showing nipples, anime would have to constanly blur their chests, only show topless girls in specific angles or they would have to cover their breasts (there a thread on /e/ specfically about that) and...it would be a pain for the animators and/or producers, especially for content that is more PG-13 or TV-14.

I understand the part of ''there are arguments for wearing panties instead of no panties'' but the fact that anime girls usually wear a bra is fine I would say and maybe, it's better like that considering what I explained.

I only watched 2 of those but prisma ilya and the first senran anime were definitely worse off for not showing nipples when they could/should have.

Unhooking from the front is stupid because it makes taking the bra off awkward since now the girl has to pull her arms back like she's doing a WRYYYYY to get it off. Having a back hook makes the process much more natural and only requires the girl to daintly lean forward, exposing spilling breasts and gracefully having the bra slip off. Front hookers are fucking stupid don't @ me.

Well, I got a some replies, I like that they were varied, maybe most people who watch anime prefer bras with the hook in the back (at least the people who use this site) and people who prefer front-hook bras may be a minority around here. The fact that people appreciate training bras in anime and fan art was interesting but I'm not surprised.

Anyway, this was a fun thread to make, it's fine if the thread dies after this, I'm satisfied with the replies and what not. Here's Miyu Edelfelt in her undies and eating cake.
