I think men just read older books, especially when it comes to literature. I don't really know much about literature old or modern but I have at least read a few 'classics'. I couldn't name more than few modern male lit autors. Publishing may all be run by a female majority who exist within the typical rich, white westerner's lefty bubble but I don't really believe there are loads of creative type men out there with quality lit writing waiting to be published, and I am definitely not refering to the fan fic tier blog novels that people of both genders write.

I don't think writing fiction and literature appeals very much to modern men, or historically to most men, I certainly have no interest.
