trve. btw, i really thought that memory alter route was unnecessary. asuna was already corrupted to the point of letting inoda go raw anyway in the last day of their quarantine arc, but fujino sensei added the memory alter route for no reason. it kinda killed the corruption part for me now... i'm mostly waiting for liz's corruption arc, and i also hope sugu also get corrupted by inoda, kek

I think Fujino just wanted to cuck Kirito in his most iconic scenes and people read too much into it, rather than just enjoying the scenes. He hasn't done anything with Yui yet, nor how Kirito is able to see previous scenes as illusions. Maybe there's a pay off later. Like if the illuminati? group kidnaps Kirito, brainwash him and his memories get all mixed up. I don't care much about Sugu, but I rather watch Liz stir up trouble than she become corrupted herself.
