It's not, HF is, but I personally like it because it encapsulates what FSN is about best while Fate route serves as an introduction and HF route serves as a subversion that drags you back to reality. That and Archer and the whole war slowly rotting Shirou's idealism only for Shirou to find his own ideals and remind Archer why he started taking the path he took was done really effectively and stuck with me to this day.

If you mean Mahoyo yeah it's pretty good, probably one of the best casts Nasu ever wrote. Just don't expect Fate, it's mostly a slice of life story with a few action scenes here and there.

FSN is about being a hero, and every route takes a different approach to Shirou's journey to herohood. Out of every route, I think UBW examines that core theme and the ideal of heroism most thoroughly while Fate route is much more superficial and HF is about Shirou discarding his ideals entirely. Though I'm biased because it's also the route that resonated with me most.
