Recent episode of Dandadan had a character who was possessed and changed forms between an evil spirit and his normal self when splashed with hot or cold water. When the character realized this, he started singing the 1st OP song of Ranma ½ (a series notable for featuring characters who also change form with hot / cold water), hence tons of viewers leaving these self-centered comments on old YT vids.

That's always always been a thing. Any video for an old show will have faggots claiming that it was their "childhoods" no matter how irrelevant it is or how short its run was. And that goes for pretty much everything. No one really wants to write about what part of the video they liked.
