I'm not sure where your unfounded claims of my ability comes from, but
>you seem to believe that they just make up the plot as they go, instead of having designed these characters in advance
just go back to s1 and tell me whether amiya's character has ANY resemblance of that demon king shit or not
besides the ring, they literally just started pulling that shit out of their ass in s3.
the point i'm making is that, she started of just as an empty caricature of a character as doc did, hence why he could've easily replaced her roles as a character.
Amiya's character is literally born at the start of s1, precisely because her backstory doesn't seem to have any relevance or effect on her character at any point in s1.
>The Doctor cannot be both a teenage girl struggling with the burdens of command placed upon her far too young
? what? we don't see amiya being burdened by this either? or at least not for any more than a few secs, unless i've missed anything.
anyway, doc's appearance was literally made ambiguous, him turning out to have the mentality of a teenage girl after his amnesia could've easily worked.
>the age-old creature planning their race's last stand. The Doctor cannot be both the foul traitor who betrayed her patron's best hope ... The Doctor cannot be both the source of all of Terra's ills ...
his amnesia makes all of those workable, that's why amnesia is such a cheat narrative device
also, I'm not sure if you're misunderstanding something, but just because doc could replace amiya's role, doesn't mean amiya couldn't take up another role. the only thing i've been complaining about is that i don't see how amiya gets to be the protag and sideline the supposedly real protag, when she barely exists as something more than a shoehorned character made just to take on that role.
