It's literally not great. Toriyama never planned stories and just made up whatever as he went along, he also could not write cool fight choreography to save his life.

Bad fights scenes + bad story = dogshit shounen

That was literally the one thing he was good at, Dragon Ball's fight choreography is why everyone overlooks all it's flaws

I recently read through the Dragon Ball part. Haven't felt like reading the DBZ section yet. I did get the first DBZ volume when Viz started releasing it though so I read at least that much (in English).
