isekai
Why is Oshi no Ko the only major work that criticizes isekai genre?
I'm imagining an example where some ugly guy like Rudeus is isekai'd, then he marries someone whose features complement his own, say her good eyeshape balances out his bad one, his prominent cheekbones balance out her bad ones, etc, so they can produce a beautiful child. Then, once the child is born, he kills his wife and forces his own memories onto the child, tricking the child into believing they were the one originally isekaiβd. The narrative would follow the childβs struggle to uncover this truth. There needs to be more attention brought to how selfish and shallow the genre is.
