I feel like this author is one of those who could benefit from someone that can write good stories while does the art part, granted, someone with a decent to mediocre story but good art can make it big like BnHA, but this author isn't having any luck with that

I think he'd do a lot better if they had a more hands-on editor. The training arc at the beginning of this series was a huge miss - 3.5 chapters for nothing. If an editor told him to scrap that and instead had Huggin arrive after they fix the Chapter 2 docks, and then Otr gets sent to the village that needs help, the series wouldn't have felt like it meandered at the start.

He's great at coming up with designs for characters and creatures, but for some reason he has trouble translating the imaginative worlds he comes up with for illustrations into a manga format.

Yeah I really love his imagination, he's just not good at how to present them and make an engaging story, I still have hope that this is the author BnHA and makes a comeback because I don't see him coming back to Jump if this gets cancelled, BnHA author had two cancellations before coming up with BnHA and Black Clover author likewise had a cancellation before Black Clover itself.

The tentacles for sure, but again, they would regenerate just like what happened when Etupirko attacked the one following Cholerio. And I bet it's hard for Otr to hit the creature with a blow like that when half of its body is also submerged in the ocean. Let's see, this fight has everything to be cool. We go from a proud and honorable warrior to a coward who attacks his opponents from behind—it's a great contrast.

Good poses and angles can be tough to draw, and I'm sure you can handle it well. More Alajoki lewd is always good!
