That probably the best way to store them unless you want to do uva/uvb blocking museum grade frames to hang them. I replaced my windows this year with UV blocking windows and I works nights so the only thing I have to worry about is humidity.
Is each cel a single or multiple? If multiple you can do lining sheets in between. I use museum grade acid free watercolor for Matts and backing.

I bought damaged so that I knew were damaged with vinegar syndrome so for those I keep them in a big frame. I only buy cells that I want to put in frames I don't keep anything in a folio

Whatever figures you buy, you'll probably want them to be pleasant to look at. And them being erotic can contribute to that, but some prefer cute or cool stuff. Figures that fulfill multiple of these are not bad, either.
I mostly buy girlpla these days and try not to get new scale figures for the most part. I just followed announcements and bought whatever struck my fancy (cute/hot).
I noticed that a few of them involve bare tummies and twintails, so I tried to go for that specifically. But I found that buying sets is not so satisfying, because I ended up with some figures that I liked at first, but was less enthusiastic about in the long run.
Aside from that, I get everything for my favourite vidya series.

Gunpla is good and bad. It's good because building is therapeutic, you can do all out with planning and airbrushing and painting and decaling or just snap built some real grade and still enjoy it. and if you don't build it it can sit neatly somewhat in a box and still satisfy your collecting kink. The bad part is that it encourages you backlogging and collecting "because I'll build it one day". And then there comes new kits with new engineerings, or god forbids, mecha musumes or other new IPs.

For me despite being old I have accepted I will be building all my life. I built SDs and early HGs as a child. I got back into gunpla in the uni days and it helped me just quiet down when I need it, and now with the low but lots of accumulated skills it is too late to quit for me. I will always enjoy seeing other pro clean builds and doing my own, and photographing and posing and displaying. It's too late for me, Gundam shit has been there my whole fucking life.
