Would Conan be able to solve the Kira case?

Yes the writer can make it so he does.

Depends on who writes the story, even he missed a couple cases in the main manga

Hey, Edogawa, how come I never see you with Kudo. You're like a ghost, always disappearing and reappearing when you need to. In fact, you look suspiciously like him, like a damn chameleon like you've got something to hide....But you can't hide it from me forever. I know there's something off about you and I will find it.

Yes he's immune to the DN because he uses an alias.

He wouldn't even suspect Light in the first place because Light actually managed to put on a better public persona to mask his true self.

>*solved the Kira case*
Nothing personel. Just business as usual

Yes.
It's probable that he wouldn't consider the supernatural explanation, but he would be able to narrow it down like L had to being a Japanese high school student in the Tokyo area with a family member in law enforcement.
From there, it would be a 400 chapter long arc wherein the Kira case comes up in about 5% of those chapters, and there'd be a moment in the climax like this
>Light scribbles down "Conan Edogawa" in the Death Note
>"WHY WON'T IT WORK RYUUK?!"
>Conan kicks a cement brick at his head, safely knocking him unconscious

Nah. Doakes had a dark passenger too hence his near-supernatural ability to read Dexter despite his respectable facade like Light.
