Most likely Tengen either was an alien or was somehow infected by some sort of alien influence, though Tengen might have forgotten this themself as their sense of self got dissolved with each Plasma Vessel. Tengens existence probably is the cause for the concentration of sorcerers in Japan.

I expect alien technology to just be sufficiently advanced curse techniques. Sorcery and barriers can accomplish instant transportation and artificial environments, and sorcerers are supreme energy sources. In a way, aliens kinda make sense in JJK compared to other shouhens, because Gege at least gave the technological implications of cursed energy some thought?

I don't think Sukuna was an alien. Rather, I suspect the weirder aspects of the aliens (third eye for instance) is a result of a higher level of cursed energy cultivation that leads to the physical altering of the body to accomodate for the technique. Sukuna was a freak wity unprecedented cursed energy amount. It probably lead to him experiencing the same metamorphosis (though his was probably triggered by him devouring his twin brother in the womb). Basically, Sukuna was a case of parallell evolution.
