WHA is much more tightly written where the magic is introduced and explained organically. The world is decently consistent and solutions aren't just asspulls.

honestly 4chan has taught me that everything ever is actually bad forever because they all have a million billion gorillion plot holes and bad writing

The studio is known for doing bangup jobs on trailers and the first episode before promptly falling apart the moment they move beyond that point. There's warranted skepticism about this project running into the same issues.
The director being slated for 2+ other projects in the next ~6 months isn't a helpful sign either, for something so anticipated and so hyped this should be his only priority.

The magic system in WHA is incredible but the character work can feel off at times. Once festival namek hit the yuribait that's been ramping up between Coco and Agott has felt inauthentic compared to how Shirahama does the shipbaiting with Quiffrey and Olruggio. I would suspect the has a fujoshi past purely based on the way she writes the two men.

/a/ also thinks Hunter x Hunter has a top tier power system so I realized I shouldn't take opinions here seriously

I mean Frieren gets close to it and it makes this board assmad for zero reason

I love the manga but I've had zero expectations about the anime ever since it was announced. I'm open to being pleasantly surprised, but if it ends up being full of obvious production issues I won't be grieving over it.

Maybe you feel that way because Coco used to have shipping bait with Tartah which gradually fell off in favor of Coco/Agott, making it plausible the author is doing it on a whim whereas Qifrey/Olruggio has been consistent from the start. Personally I don't mind because I just like mage x mage better than mage x muggle, I also enjoyed Riche/Eunie and I wish he'd show up again. Plus the author has been setting up some parallels between Qifrey/Olruggio and Coco/Agott, the latter did the mage handshake and Coco has been keeping secrets about her contacts with brimhats just like Qifrey.
