There actually might be some fuckery with Chihiro's lineage. Hokazono has made it look like Chihiro is Kunishige's son by having people remark on how they look similar and Chihiro inheriting Kunishige's vision.
But Hokazono also neatly hid the results of the blood test from us, that the Kamunabi did to see if Chihiro is truly Kunishige's son. That seems super suspicious to me.
