I think it's more like Kurenai would succeed in keeping Naruto in genjutsu and get an attack on him like stabbing his throat but it just wouldn't be lethal and he'd be snapped out of the genjutsu anyway by her attack. I will never understand why people like Hinata. Her design is average, especially if you take away her defining eyes and above average tits. Her personality revolves around the MC and she's completely unrealistic with her devotion to him. The stalking thing is creepy, and she ultimately just idolizes Naruto without any real development outside one conversation in early part 1. Sakura is just as bad, if not worse, with Sasuke but at least her design is appeasing. Ultimately Ino has the best design of Naruto's peers. Konan is the only good female overall.
