Young Magazine released a special issue a few days ago that contained 16 oneshots. All of them are a part of a vote with the top 5 getting serialized as a reward.
I'm going to dump every one of them, in case anyone wants to read them or wants to vote on which one they want to see expanded.

For how much this Young Magazine has been shilled (they even gave out a GIANT pile of the magazines for free at AnimeNYC) the talent pool is pretty shallow. If this is the Top 5 we've basically already seen the best works and they have all been okay at best so far.

I think most of them are fine. Some of them seems to be built around being the first chapters of a larger series like The Last Terran and Pregnant instead of being isolated oneshots. But the top five are solid.

In addition to the website votes, they're also counting every like/repost a oneshot gets on it's official twitter posts as a vote as well (so if it's broken up across multiple pages/posts each one can get a vote). Honestly seems like a pretty exploitable system.

I think the top 5 are fine for the most part, though there are a few that I would really like to see continued that haven't made it in.

I don't even wanna read this sequel. That was one of the worst manga I ever had the displeasure of reading. I wanted so hard to give the author the benefit of the doubt, but the manga concluded without the tranny main character getting the help she needed; instead, the characters who encouraged her delusion were framed as the good guys.

This is just a bad way of doing it. Not only is the pages number not the same. But things like placement in the timeline and posting during the wrong time can ruin/help a oneshot's chances.
Counting votes is going to be a mess.

This is a little retard. There are many authors who post the first chapter of their manga on their accounts, receive ton of likes and then nobody buys their work. Giving a like is easy, you can even do it just because you thought an illustration was nice or because you found the story superficially interesting, but it doesn't imply that you will actually follow them.
At least voting implies a mini extra effort on your part, real interest.
