I can feel the “outline” as I read some of these chapters. Like “guts goes into the Kushan stupa and confronts his inner self” and that’s basically literally what is here and what they say.
Worst parts are the writing and the paneling. I can only hope some of this awkwardness is due to the unofficial translation. The paneling is really tough, it’s like one piece. Miura always did these full page breathtaking panels even if it was just guts in complete darkness. Not even just the spreads but the single pages of a shot of someone or a scene. The impact is very much missing without these kind of pages. I can only hope this improves over time.
Shading and detailing especially on Guts looked much better than all the other chapters for some reason. I quite liked it. Went by super fast though like all chapters but I feel like next one is going to be a deconstruction of Gut's character within the sensory deprivation therapy session. It'd be kind of like that time Void showed Griffith his past, meaning, Guts is going to have to make some kind of sacrifice but not in the way we expect.

everything that happens after the eclipse is unnecessary and poorly done, furthermore, the eagerness to collect money by the responsible of this is ignoble, respect the dead

I think like how the King betrayed Griffith, Void will do the same.
Void could offer Guts a chance to kill Griffith, and he might even take it, but he can't go through with it because his son is in him and Casca would never forgive him.

I wonder what will be next for Guts then. I don't know about Guts taking Void's offer, wouldn't that betray his character in a way? Working with the Godhand I mean

Guts' main hate is Griffith
He "worked" with Zodd to fight Ganishka, so he's "worked" with demons before.
I think when it comes to Casca he might "risk it all" to save her since I don't think he knows that his son wouldn't allow Griffith to harm her so he probably thinks the worst is happening to her.

Makes sense. But why the clam symbolism? Maybe it's something different from the Godhand's egg and find a different entity but I cannot deny it seems to imply that something related to Void might be at play
>>282196131 >But why the clam symbolism
Well, clams turn a grains of sand into pearls, maybe Guts will evolve?
Sort of like a inverse of how Griffith was turned into Femto in the egg?
Maybe The Idea of Good/Hope is a thing? Since The Idea of Evil exist the opposite would also exist.
Maybe the clam is supposed to look like a brain and Void is taking him into the abyss?
IDK man

I thought that it looked like a brain too so I don't know either but the idea of turning sand into a pearl is very interesting Anon, good point
>>282197566 >man the hype for this manga really did died down
The release schedule was trash long before the author died, now it has a trash release schedule AND its just "I think I overheard Miura say this would happen next" for a story.

The last chapter was unironically the best chapter of Berserk since perhaps the Roar of Astral World happened. As a series finale it strangely works. Things are left unresolved narratively but it brings a kind of moderate emotional closure to Guts' journey and Griffith's dilemma
