People turned against it the instant season 2 reset all the development and returned to the schoolshit nobody liked, but gradually started warming up to it despite the increased amount of focus on Gundamshit superpower robots. The instant the summaries for that episode where Schnitzel somehow made everyone trust him and betray Zero in an instant leaked, though, people immediately knew the series was a trainwreck beyond salvation.
