Given the fact that it's been 14 years since K-ON the Movie, I wouldn't mind the vibe of K-ON being a little different without Yamada. It would definitely feel different returning to an old series after so many years have passed. It would feel nostalgic, so it would definitely feel appropriate that the continuing should feel the same way. Especially since Azusa is now without her seniors. A K-ON High School/College adaptation could never possibly feel like old school K-ON simply because the main cast has now been split up. Houkago Tea Time would be back to just 4, Azusa would be the new club president, and Ui and Yui would be separated most of the time. There'd definitely be a vibe of melancholic nostalgia to it if it were adapted, making you eager to see everything get back together again.

I hope they go back to VN adaptations. Their only masterpiece anime was a VN adaptation, Clannad After Story. Little Busters could become a masterpiece but it was already made by JCStaff who butchered the adaptation.

Most of the other kamige are either unadaptable (Ever 17, SubaHibi, Sharin no Kuni etc.) or would require very long adaptation (Cyanotype, Umineko etc.).

So maybe it would be best to remake Little Busters. It's not like it's unprecedented, they made Kanon after it was butchered by Toei.

Would a Kyoaniverse anime be better if all the characters kept their artstyles from their own shows? I think I'd prefer if they were all done in a single style like maybe Chuunibyou's style or something.(Violet Evergarden's style is the most beautiful but also the most difficult to animate so it might be too much to ask for). Or maybe they could do something even more impressive that Evergarden if it was just a single 20min OVA. Kyoani should really do more short animations and PVs for fun.

Kyoani have the best production values in the industry so they should be careful about what they choose to bestow their talents upon.

Yeah, Maid Dragon season 2 looked god tier. It still has the hallmarks of what you would expect from a modern Kyoani production like attention to detail, tons of animation and things you don't see in other anime anymore like 2D dance animation. This level of quality is still the top 0.1% of TV anime. I don't want to put too much pressure on the studio, they don't need to rush in trying to reach Violet Evergarden's heights again.
