Holy fuck, honestly I had been sort of unimpressed with a few parts but the payoff was so fucking worth.
My main questions right now
>did Urahara have a second Hogyoku that he used when getting Ichigo's shinigami powers back (where ichigo almost goes hollow) and that's why Ichigo has a hollow side? or is Ichigo part of some "main character plot" that has yet to be revealed which is why he has that side?
>why did the hollow side seem to know Zangetsu and about shinigami powers as if it wasn't just Ichigo's alter ego but his own separate person? he knew things Ichigo didn't and Zangetsu talked to him as if he was another person
>what could the filler episodes possibly contain after such a big reveal, is it just training arc bullshit or is it OVA type stuff where we get to see Rangiku in a bikini? (please answer this, this will determine if I skip it or not)

Soul Society was made for the Nobles, the Gotei 13 and Central 46 serve their interests. Everyone else can be a beggar as far as they are concerned. Getting sick and dying can happen from being poisoned by reshi when you can't handle it yourself (non-shinigami souls). Soul Soceity being a peaceful/heaven is a lie they tell human souls so they can make their jobs easier and have less hollows to deal with.

This show is a pain to get through. I’m in the HM arc and Ichigo’s friends battles are so trash. I thought their banter was kind of fun but when they split up it all went downhill. Nel and her crew are annoying asf.

This fight is so iconic that they keep going back to it.

Kenpachi I really like, he's a fun character, Rukia is cool and her fight with aaroniero is more psychological which is pretty good, Aizen is interesting so far. Ichigo's fights are the only ones who keep me consistently glued to the screen. Renji has a decent design but his bankai is trash. The worst offender is Chad and Uryu's battles that are making me cringe. It's like they want me to see them as cool and it's not working. "See how important they are" pushed narrative is honestly making me hate them.

The final season of bleach was a punching bag for manga readers for a decade. then the anime comes out. it's unanimously celebrated, breaks netflix records, forces the studio to reconsider its entire anime strategy and cancels boruto. and for me personally it single handedly elevated bleach into a god status shounen.

Half the life seems made up ep to wp/chp to chp. First menos are one thing, and then they're a classification, then arranacars are created by the hogyoku but they're actually just a type of hollow

Those are used to create new souls which go back to the mortal world.

what's inside the zanpakuto is a reflection of what's going on inside ichigo's soul. because two things are being relfected, there's two 'spirits' inside the zanpakuto. they both are and aren't separate things and this will be properly expanded on later

the zanpakuto rebellion arc provides designs and personalities for a bunch of the gotei 13's zanpakuto spirits and the dynamic they have with their wielders

It's the 'spirit world'
When mortals die, they leave behind a spirit, which then goes to the spirit world. Initially the spirit world was just a blank void, but over time spirits learned to manipulate the spirit particles that everything in the spirit world is made of, and turn them into other things
See there's also beings native to the spirit world that were never mortals, instead born to spirit parents. these are called 'Pure Souls" and they built Seireitei within Soul Society and formalized the Shinigami as its protectors and law enforcers.
a soul needs a spirit body to 'live', otherwise it decays back into raw spirit particles, like a living corpse decomposing into dust. that spirit body can get tainted or damaged in a way that can destroy it, leading to death.

Reveal is a cop-out; everyone had grievances with each other. But in the end, it was “lol mind control.” I hated that. Was it cool? Yes. But the rule of cool is what makes Bleach shallow in the long run. Kubo will sacrifice substance for being “cool,” which is why the Arrancar arc was so bad.

I always rationalized it as Byakuya and Kenpachi combined being stronger than a senior captain like Shunsui (even if at the time Shunsui was stronger than those 2) and Yammy's rank was based on the base Espada reiatsu levels. So in his resurreccion he outclasses Stark in base.

TYBW needed to had 3 - 5 more volumes to flesh things out better, maybe have a, extensive first captain flashback, it would have been god tier
