The approach with Konata would be a little more specialised. First of all, I think it would be difficult to approach her alone, it would probably be a better idea to be on good terms with her friends (especially Kagami) first. She has her guard up a lot and is too secure, smart and observant to be easy to influence without a solid premise.
I'd strike up a conversation with her about otaku stuff, and then steer the conversation towards romance VNs or eroge. Once she's in her zone and comfortable with the flow of the conversation, directly challenge her on something. Disagree with her about some trope or character archetype, or subgenre. Get her fired up and emotionally invested. Best to make the point of disagreement something overtly sexual, create the association in her mind between you and sex within the context of an emotional rollercoaster.
Then find some reason to leave or cut the conversation short, keep her hanging and frustrated, leave the conversation unresolved. Give her a reason to want to see you again, make her feel she needs to prove a point.
It's important that her friends to still like you, so it needs to look like a spontaneous, genuine moment of passion between 2 otaku.
Probably the best strat would be to pick a suggestive but still SFW scene or situation from eroge VNs to argue about, and then induce her to roleplay something from those scenes with you to prove a point. I think it could realistically work in the heat of a debate with a character like her. IMO she's very open and comfortable with the idea of sex, but guarded against actual sexual interactions with other people, so placing her in a virtual, roleplay context related to her hobby is probably the best way to bypass and unlock that.
Then after this argument, you will have created a strong, shared core memory involving you, and you can reference it whenever you see her after that. Use it as an excuse to be more physical with her and escalate romantically.
