I'd call it a mixed bag, partly because it's the first time the studio is attempting a large scale world and project like this. Mixed but ambitious, and it's entertained me enough to have justified the time. I'm the type who prefers to see ambition even if a list of flaws comes with it.

I saw that it was nearing the end so I picked it up and watched the first 4 episodes with interest. The following 3-4 episodes were still alright, but I was hoping that the story would follow a primary protagonist with the other characters being supports. At this point I still thought that maybe the two would somehow interact, that it would go back and forth between them... And so I stopped watching at around episode 11, during Cyan's arc. It got really boring. I downloaded the rest, skimmed through each one to confirm that it would be 3-4 episodes of backstory for each character with whatever snippet of main plot interwoven throughout. Suffice to say, I wasn't a fan. Watched the whole 24 episode, maybe skimmed a few parts I don't remember. Was kinda mid. I'm glad I skimmed through half of it and I'm not looking forward to the 2nd, perhaps even 3rd season. I'll probably do the same if I feel like it at the time and skim through unless the storytelling format changes entirely and focuses on a single protagonist.

I'm quite happy he's "alive." Not because of the fujo shit, but because I think he's among the best characters. Characters who have fallen low and have to climb back up are generally the best. Also, unlike E-Soul and Dragonboy, I think Nice deserved a chance after trying to help Smile. Redeeming Dragonboy and Yang will be more difficult, but the comic book world is full of Vegetas and people love them.

I'm just not a fan of shows that have so many protagonists sharing equal parts of the spotlight. I can't imagine how I'd be able to keep track of everything going on if I watched it on a weekly basis and not participate in active discussion. I'd probably forget most plot points if I did that. I get that it's all interconnected and that understanding of the past is important to piece all the puzzle pieces together, but that's just not what's entertaining to me. The opening is still great. An easy 8-9/10. Other than that, whatever I guess?

We all wanted this, and now that we've reached the end of Season 1, I can say with absolute certainty that the director is a fraud. The entire mid-part is essentially pointless. All the information you need about the context, the Fear, the trust power or the agencies war, as well the cave incident starts with Ghostblade.
And it's an incredibly small story that's being passed off as something bigger.

I think they will still have moments through out Season 2, but I can see them getting less attention than someone like X or Lin Ling. I think all of the cast will get some kind of moment. I think Lin Ling was already protected under the tournament rules which was introduced in Queen's arc when Boa attacked her in that prior to the tournament other heroes cannot attack the top 10 or they forfeit their own ranking. Killing Moon was likely to make Lin Ling hurt since the guy is one part powered by his feelings for Moon and the fact is that Moon would be quite dangerous in terms of a corporate spy if she was able to teleport wherever she wanted.

I suppose it's possible but honestly I don't believe this after all this talk that Nice was his weapon. He probably just packed his corpse when he exited the building Nice had just fell from. It was the building they met in a few episodes prior so it's likely there was another there we still haven't seen. Would explain both how Shand knew and how he got Nice's corpse. Not to mention that during LL's arc he never reacted to Nice's death even though Miss J was scared shitless at the prospect of him learning about it. So I'm inclined to think he knew Nice was dead all along and just focused on recovering his corpse. That's why he never got involved with LL until much later when he made his own hero identity. He was probably just planning to sub in the Nice puppet back in LL's stead until he did.

Even when he comes into direct contact with it he just kinda has a breakdown and then dissociates til he finds himself on the roof, he doesn't rampage or change the way we see it effect other heroes

My guess is he does get a "fresh start" in that he can now try and be the Hero Nice and not the tool Shand was using him as. The downside might be that it's the ONLY thing he can be, given that Nice has no distinct image of himself that isn't what his fans see him as. For Nice though, this might not be a bad deal
