It is pretty straightforward. They are searching for the next body part, which is presumably in the hands of a monster running a troupe. To meet the monster, they need to audition first. That's about it. Then there are two subplots: one involving the disappearance of children, and the other involving Huazi and her relationship with the monster running the place.

I expect something like Amon from Tokyo Ghoul where Tsundere Lenalee was raised by the monster mommy, she trusted and then was betrayed when she found out she was just farming humans for food and shit
But the twist is that while the whole thing was still fucked up, the monster mommy did feel some legit affection towards her, which is why she was spared
I expect monster mommy to get killed and have some touching goodbye scene where she wonders if she could have done things differently to have something like what Kou and Chiyou have

Jun can design and draw attractive men, we were introduced to a bunch of new ones just a couple of chapters ago. The problem being we don't have enough of the men interacting with each other to get fujos invested. Maybe that will happen eventually. Of her male designs so far my favorite is Baize so I hope we see more of him.

I'm guessing Huazi assumes the shenguai she knew died. Either way I think it will provide an interesting check on Chiyou and Kou's relationship. People joke about Chiyou grooming him but that actually might not go unaddressed within the story. Should provide an interesting emotional conflict between all the characters especially if Chiyou's feelings are genuine.

I like the story and I don't dislike the theme currently being tackled but it lends weight to the argument that Jun is writing a mahou shoujo for boys. An arc about the danger of impossible beauty standards and the lengths people will go to for beauty is absolutely out of a shoujo/josei story.

Yeah she's good. At first I was nervous that she would get in the way of Chiyou and Kou while being annoying or that she and Chiyou would bicker over him but Huazi actually has good chemistry with both of them. Huazi's inclusion also seems like it's gonna be used to add both friction and depth to Kou and Chiyou's relationship which I wasn't expecting.

I think a fourth, male member would be a nice addition, Kou needs a male friend.
