Do retards not understand that Netflix only handles distribution? Caring more about release than actual production is idiotic as well

That was DP/Warner Bros decision. They didn't have to let Netflix do the distribution.

Because people would rather parrot a simple misconception than to know the truth. DP and Warner Bros are ultimately responsible for Stone Ocean's flop.

I wonder how many episodes SBR will need? I've seen people estimate around 50+.

>>282262216
Easy to blame Netflix. WB likely didn't put as much funding into SO than previous parts because its not too popular. DP themselves got some B or even C team to do SO. Covid happened as well. Damn near everything that could have hurt Stone Ocean's anime happened. Netflix have some share of the blame with their batch desire so customers can binge. It likely also meant that DP couldn't go back and touch up SO for the home release.

SBR has a thousand more pages than Vento Aureo and Stone Ocean, which had respectively 39 and 38 episodes. Not to mention that some chapters are very dialogue heavy.
Unless they choose to rush the story, I think it will require ~55 to ~60 episodes.

>>282269608
5 is their best and honestly, it'd be nitpicking to find the flaws. It was a real love letter project and the same director of 5 is doing SBR so that is a good sign. Sadly SO has much more obvious and egregious flaws. I don't think SO even had an OC scene. 3 had a few but was mostly due to stretching the source material very thin. 4 had an extended ending sequence which worked really well. 5 had the Fugo stuff. 6 is already a fast paced part and the anime was a perfect place to add in a scene of the gang hanging out, slow things down. I'd have also taken a montage of the JoJos during MiH. Johnathan and Erina's grave, Joseph in NYC with Suzi Q and Shizuka, Josuke in Morioh likely as a cop, Giorno in Florida having his luggage stolen by a shady taxi driver and then we go back to the gang fighting Pucci.

Look man what you fail to realize is that netflix has 100s of guys that stand in suits at their headquarters and talks directly to the heads of whichever program they are distributing for. They have the sway to say stuff like. Change nojiko the pale skinned blue haired girl in one piece to black african. Make sure luffy is brazilian. Etc. Netflix has the ability and pull to make those kinds of decisions because animators need netflix to get their shows viewed by american audiences.

I stopped like a year ago but that is just how I am with monthly releases, I easily move on and forget to keep up. I kind of liked JoJolands before I stopped, the first chapter was rough for me and a lot of people but I got over it. Didn't really like the gang too much though. I'm a simple man, JoJo should be about good people fighting evil whereas JoJolands is a bunch of assholes fighting other assholes except we know for sure that Jodio wins and wins big.

Do you know Poochie from the hit series The Simpsons? The guy that presents himself as a girl, Dragona is Poochie. His personality is that he is loved by every person that meets him. Every guy except based Paco has shown interest in fucking him. All the villains also seem to be pulled from 70s disco ads. Which look completely nonsensical considering the story takes place at around the covid outbreak of 2020.

The reason Stone Ocean's production was a shitshow was likely to do with how big Urusei Yatsura was for DP and all focus from their production companies was on that instead, as it was a major marketing/merch moment.
Stone Ocean on the other hand, is the least popular part of JoJo and the one most disliked within Japan. It's basically the complete opposite of UY for the suits
A fair number of Part 5 staff, for example, diverted to UY in that time, and that is likely the cause for SO's odd release schedule as batches (this was likely done at the behest of WB since SO itself took several years to complete).

SO is the least popular part both in Japan and the west. It felt like DP rushed so and gave it less resources that normal and it still came out decent. I feel like they know how popular sbr is everywhere and it gives me hope it at least matches the quality of 5.

>DP fumbles Stone Ocean
>people forget about the anime because of batch release
>everyone seems too focused on Netflix killing muh hype to notice the bad anime itself
Part of me thinks this is actually their strategy. Leaving adaptations that they know won't meet expectations to rot in batch release limbo, and let Netflix take the fall.
