Gege's art has always been a topic of discussion for JJK. You can find numerous posts of people complaining about the manga art of JJK looking bad online. I was in favour of his art being good overall throughout most of the manga's run until it changed at the end where I could only say the action and composition remained good.

Like you said, Gege's art style changed throughout the manga. And like I said before in the middle of JJK it was perfect then it changed again towards the end and the art style was worse than what was before it. The only reason I can see him opting to use this new art style is to make the workload easier on himself while he was on the WSJ grind which is a damn shame but understandable. I'm sure he'd be upset at not being able to draw to the best of his abilities if this was the case though.

Again, you're just speaking confidently about things you don't know about or understand. This talking point only makes sense if Gege was making much more frequent use of abstraction in his later style, which is not the case.
Gege's use of abstraction is present throughout the entire manga, he has always favored a less is more approach when it comes to detail, especially in faces. His face drawing only gets better; he becomes able to depict unique faces and set them apart mostly through the weighting of lines and clever shading. In the last leg of the manga, he's clearly opting for more naturalistic expressions and paying more attention to how the face moves and changes when somebody is emoting.

Surely you must understand what a weak position this is. For starters, would you rather Gege just recycle the art, or make it look almost exactly the same as the "Nah I'd win" panel?
Secondly, it's clearly from a slightly overhead angle, (hence the shape of his nose being so much more visible, and the tip casting a shadow) with his head titled ever so slightly to the right.
Third, he's making a different expression. In the "Nah I'd win" panel Gojo's eyes are half-lidded, whereas in this one, Yuta is fully opening his eyes.
FOURTH, yuta/gojo's bangs are being blown away from his forehead to show the stitches (see picrel).
