It's not this director's fault. OPM got ruined by Murataman and his unnecessary story alterations plus endless redraws.
Murata is an excellent artist, but IMO the webcomic is vastly superior in terms of consistency and storytelling.

I just wish the serialization was as close as possible from a 1 for 1 copy of the webcomic, but with better art.

OPM. Chainsaw Man is getting a movie that looks decent and the production committee apologized for season 1 and seems to want to course correct. The manga was always deliberate trash and doubled down for part 2, the protagonist is literally a retarded loser who did everything wrong and helped the villain and every character either dies or loses everything they cared about. Anyone who reads CSM thinking it's more than a semi-pornographic shitpost is reading it wrong. Meanwhile both the OPM manga and anime have experienced an insane decline in quality despite starting strong and being based on a genuinely good story.
