Yes I know it would get banhammered in the west and muslim countries, but sacrifices have to be made.

No more lolis, incest, or fanservice of minors and age gap/grooming relationships.

>>282273068
>fanservice (no barbie doll bodies, and full frontal)
The fanservice can stay, just so long as it’s of adult women and not minors.

I mean there are plenty of VAs that have worked on or still do voices for H VNs.
>cel animation
You don't want current people working in the industry to try to make something on cel. It would just result in trash because nobody knows how to use it any more and anyone that does hasn't used it in so long. If they can't be competent with a digital workflow they won't be competent with a cel workflow.

Japan has also always been wary of gore. You occasionally had it in movies and OVAs but it wouldn't fly on TV and never did. Sure, you could have plenty of blood (though even some older TV anime either didn't have much blood or it was changed color) but gore is off limits.

less adaptations, allowing anime studios to focus on pumping out less slop. There's so much garbage that doesn't deserve to be adapted into an anime

I don't know why you think originals won't be "slop".

I didnt mean more anime originals. I meant just less anime needs to be produced, theres too much coming out.

By creating a high quality tent pole series that can be enjoyed be everyone, that blends the best elements of isekai and traditional fantasy, strikes a perfect balance between atmosphere, character and world building, and intense magical action, that stars a cute relatable autistic female elf

I personally think that anime is just going through the natural course of it's lifespan, and even though the "best" days of the community are behind us by a decade and some change, that's not necessarily a bad thing; you can always just go back and watch those things from the 90s whenever you want they're not gonna stop existing just cause more isekai slop comes out this year and next year and the year after that.

Anime died the moment it got mainstream attention, and I don't mean mainstream in the way that dudes on the subway might have a manga poking outta their bag or the girl behind the counter has a code geass shirt on, but something else entirely. I remember the EXACT moment where I thought to myself "this community will never be something just for me and my small handful of nerd friend ever again" and it was when Darling in the Franxx was airing and KIM KARDASHIAN made a post talking about Zero Two's hairstyle and suddenly everyone with a pulse had an opinion about attack on titan and 'yeah man I loved naruto so much when I was younger'

That's far too late of an estimation of when anime "REALLY" broke into the mainstream and it's more like you personally had an unpleasant experience being informed of a famous person's opinion on an anime you were watching after being so detached from normalcy for so many years

100% true, anime being mainstream was probably a thing ever since the early/mid 2010s as a gradual acceptance
I was just describing what my first "it's truly over" moment was. What was the moment when it hit you anon?

A fundamental breakdown of some of political movements that have fucked japan for the past decade or two.

I was just wondering if there was a moment when it hit you all at once that your hobby wasn't really 'yours' anymore and you had to share the space with normies too

That's more of a personal experience that I never had because I was never delulu enough to believe I was part of some secret club for enjoying one of the major cultural exports of one of the most powerful countries in the world

I mean I never had the impression that I was the only one who could enjoy it, but it was definitely seen as weird in the part of the country I lived to watch it or talk about it so I didn't feel comfortable talking about it openly. Then it felt like out of nowhere everyone else just flipped their switch from making fun of it to embracing it and it just feels a little weird to feel like you've been left behind twice in a row, once because you liked something no one else was into and you couldn't discuss it with many people, and again because when people DO discover it and talk about it more freely, they already see you as 'weird kid with fringe interests that you should avoid' and you can't even make friends with them about the hobby you both now share.

Maybe it's for the best, midwitts tend to only watch the same 5 or 10 shows anyways and the conversations play out the exact same beat for beat when they do somehow come up in conversation.

Idk, maybe I'm just retarded. I like being around people and work in the entertainment industry full time so it's literally my job to interact and network with people, but I feel like I'm still really bad at actually talking to people on a human-to-human level and them not thinking I'm a nerd. I guess what I'm saying is I can and do talk to people every day a lot but I don't have many real authentic connections because I'm missing my normie chip.

It felt like that, at least for me; not cause we gatekept but because no one wanted to join. Am I stupid?

I feel like even the spaces where talking about this kinda stuff was normal like here and MAL have taken a nosedive in forum quality in the last 10 years. I used to have long and engaging conversations on there, nowadays I'm lucky for someone to accept my message requests/reply to my response/engage in a post I made about something I wanted to talk about; and even if they do reply 99% of the time it's just a one sentence response that makes me feel stupid for talking as much as I did.

I just really miss having people to talk to. I think when the community was smaller, a larger percentage of it actually cared to be there.

The death of TV.
They need to normalize producing content for online streaming content guidlines and not TV content guidelines.
Nukitashi and Panty and Stocking can afford to tell TV channels to go fuck themselves because they're sexual series that just can't exist at all in censored form, it's a risk they resolved tot aken on from the start, but most anime still conform to TV guidelines in order to get more sponsorship and investment from them.
When every last anime, no matter how non-sexual in its premise, is free to be made without thinking about if it's going to make some TV station overseer displeased, that's when anime is going to be good again.
Unless, of course, by that time all streaming services become cucked and woke as well.
