I'm pretty sure this anime is responsible for my love of Latex and Amazonian women, that and Yugi GX

YOUR life was simple because you were a child
Though admittedly there is certainly a discussion to be had on whether the internet/technology is having a negative impact on our lives

There's no discussion to be had. Life was much simpler, just a couple decades ago.

Counterpoint:
The technology we had a few decades ago would have been a fantasy for someone living in the medieval era.
When they invented the television or VCR, it was revolutionary at the time. The attitude of “we must innovate!” was what gave birth to those childhood shows you hold dear. What we have now is merely the next logical stage.
That’s not to say there isn’t major negative consequences, but the place we were a few decades ago was by no means the “default” state of humanity

Both low entropy states (extreme order) and high entropy states (extreme disorder) are undesirable. Chaos, life, civilization all the good things emerge somewhere in the middle.
Yes, life was simpler in the middle ages but it was also much simpler and better a couple decades ago.

I don't know why, but this anime lives forever in my head.
I didn't even watch it that much, but I still remember the english OP vividly and still hum the tune despite having not watched it I don't know how long
