I actually want to cry. This was easily AOTS, I don't really know what comes close. Even if you want to argue that it doesn't count because of the length, it'd still be the best single episode when stitched together. It was just so good. The characters were enjoyable and the episodes didn't waste time. Something was always going on. I really hope this isn't the end.

I feel like the author said those things about the brain and all, but he didn't really put that much thought into it, which is why there seems to be some inconsistencies.
Unless her actual brain is stored in a place somewhere, and the memories and information those backups gather are somehow transferred to and from the original brain.

She is some big shot daughter security for her will be nightmare. Kurt and Max are probably regular cyborgs but Makina is probably not even a cyborg but chilling full body in some vat. It would also make sense why her first picture had some smaller head that can't fit a brain. On the other hand it makes no sense why she would need a breathing system from the bathroom episodes.

I'll miss the dropkicks so much. I liked the show a lot, honestly i hoped kanata would get to shine more in the finale. He wouldn't be kanata if he did though, so whatever.
Voice acting was great. EN was very hit or miss, especially with a more literal script than normal. Max was my favorite of the JP and EN voice tracks, which I shouldn't be surprised by since he, having mouth flaps to match, could give a more natural performance. Akane's awkwardness was endearing and I want one of her "KANATAAAAs" to be a ringtone. And of course, the gruesome twosome had great banter.

Same. These little shitheads grew on me so much. It's not often we have a series with no bad characters.
We'll have the manga at least, but it's not the same. Print media won't capture their snappy, often chaotic dialogue in the same way, nor the musical action sequences.
Looking forward to the theatrical cut, and I definitely plan on picking up the physical release if there is one.
